Day 8: Funny Friday

Day 8 in LA already! After ordering groceries on Instacart for dinner, I enjoyed yesterday’s leftover pasta, bread, and a mini apple while watching Selling Sunset. I must admit, I was drawn to the show after learning about its LA backdrop😛

After a quick read, I walked through the park towards school, dreaming of catching a game at the colossal Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum someday. The weather was delightful, heightening my excitement for the weekend.

For lunch, I ventured to USC Village with a colleague and savored some delicious Korean cuisine. It was incredibly satisfying! Later, I made a stop at Target to pick up a few items. On my way back to the office, I had an adorable encounter with a squirrel—too cute for words. However, once back at the office, we experienced an earthquake! Quite a noteworthy event.

In the evening, my colleagues and I attended a Lunar New Year party on campus, where we indulged in Chinese delicacies and wrote down our wishes on notes. We then visited the souvenir store, where my friends and I took our time exploring the merchandise. While tempted to make a purchase, the prices were steep, prompting us to consider buying similar items on Amazon at a lower cost—a helpful tip from my friends.

After browsing, we headed to the Plaza to admire the statues, and thanks to my friend's photography skills, I ended up with some cool pictures in front of them. Eager to avoid returning to the office on a Friday, we decided to unwind at a beer store. Despite the chill in the air, sipping on a Stella beer on the terrace was thoroughly enjoyable.

To get home, I hitched a ride with my housemate, who surprised me with a Mango Dragon Fruit drink—what a generous size! There's no Trenta size in Korea, so I was taken aback by its size. Upon arriving home, I sorted through my purchases from Costco and Target, and then proceeded to order a hoodie from Amazon. It was indeed a day filled with adventures and good company! 😊
