Day 10: Santa Monica Beach & Pier

Happy sunny Sunday! I enjoyed a homemade lunch before assembling a cabinet for my clothes, which I purchased from Temu. It's remarkably good for its price. After getting ready to go outside, I met my housemate. We firstly ventured to a frozen yogurt store, marking my first experience with this delightful treat. Ordering proved challenging as they accepted only cash, and the plethora of choices made decision-making a tad difficult. Nevertheless, the yogurt was delightful, albeit a bit too generous in portion... Seems like everything here is served in abundance!🤣

 

Next, we made our way to Santa Monica Beach, and oh my, it was stunning! Arriving just in time for the sunset, we basked in the endless stretch of beach and marveled at the breathtaking view. Along the shore, we explored the Santa Monica Pier. Here, we found photo booths, burger joints, ice cream stores, arcade game zones, and restaurants. The tantalizing aromas from the food stalls made us hungry, so we couldn't resist indulging in funnel cake—a must-eat according to my housemate. It was incredibly sweet and crispy—a true delight!

 

As night fell, we soaked in the charming ambiance of the pier, catching glimpses of acrobatic shows. On our way back to the car, we made a stop at nearby Tongva Park. The park was enchanting, offering a stunning view of the starry sky. Upon returning home, I savored a kimchi rose pasta for dinner, a delicious dish picked up from my housemate's restaurant. After a day filled with plenty of walking, I was ravenous! Today marked two firsts for me: frozen yogurt and funnel cake—a truly satisfying day!
