Day 18: Holiday Monday

I should have been prepared for this holiday. I didn’t know today was a holiday. But with heavy rain, I might not have ventured far even if I had known today was a holiday. After having rice with seaweed soup for lunch, I packed my Macbook and iPad and went to Starbucks. It was my first time at a US Starbucks. It was convenient and cozy but the restroom was too dirty to use. I promised myself to never come here again.

 

Upon returning home, I made Topokki. It was supposed to be Rose Topokki, but I couldn’t use the milk since I didn’t have any. So, the taste was nothing like Rose at all :( My soul food failed. While eating Tobokki, I watched the movie “tick, tick… boom!” during a zoom call with my bf. It was a movie about a genius composer who was about to turn 30. He struggled with feeling too much pressure to accomplish something, and eventually, he did, but unfortunately, he and his compositions were loved after his death by over time. After writing a short review on my blog, I went to bed.
